Committed to the cause of teacher education, the college operates on its own land and utilizes its available structure for educational purposes. Our vision is to pursue excellence in teacher education by opening global avenues in education and research, fostering the all-round development of competent and committed professionals ready to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
Our mission is to prepare efficient, competent, committed teacher educators, administrators, and researchers. We aim to provide opportunities and facilities for the all-round development of teacher trainees, develop sensitivity towards emerging issues in a changing society, and create awareness about modern trends in education. We are dedicated to undertaking quality research studies, consultancy, and training programs, making the quest for excellence an inherent aspect of all curricular and co-curricular transactions.
The college benefits from a well-qualified and experienced faculty actively involved in teaching, learning, research, and extension activities. Our easily accessible location and well-ventilated, spacious, and well-furnished classrooms, libraries, and other amenities contribute to a conducive learning environment. We maintain an extensive library with over 3700+ titles, including books, e-journals, encyclopedias, and reference books. The college campus comprises a Multipurpose Hall, classrooms, Sports Room, Staff Room, Girls’ and Boys’ Common Room, Library Cum-Reading Room, Laboratories, Principal’s Office, and Administrative Office, meeting NCTE norms for infrastructure facilities. We have specialized laboratories, including Psychology, Science, Mathematics, Social Science, and a Language Lab, along with a well-equipped computer center.
Our academic approach is designed to be transparent and efficient, utilizing an academic calendar, session plans, and timetables. We continuously upgrade our syllabus pedagogy and infrastructure to remain adaptable to evolving requirements. Elective papers and value-added courses are included in the curriculum to provide flexibility and enhance students’ professional development. The curriculum, developed by the university, facilitates natural learning, and faculties endeavor to incorporate national and international cross-cutting issues. We emphasize experiential learning through field trips and internship initiatives.
The college is committed to honoring student diversity, with mechanisms in place to identify different learning needs at the entry level and provide appropriate academic support. We adopt a multiple mode approach to teaching-learning, including experiential learning, participative learning, problem-solving methodologies, and the use of ICT support. Continual mentoring is provided to students for developing professional attributes. We implement participatory management through various committees. Transparency is maintained in our financial, academic, and administrative functions. The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) plays a significant role in institutionalizing quality assurance strategies and reviewing the teaching-learning process periodically.
The college is also committed to institutional values and social responsibilities, including energy conservation and effective waste management practices. We prioritize cleanliness, sanitation, and maintaining green cover to provide a pollution-free healthy environment.
